ব্রিটবাংলা ডেস্ক : ইউরোপিয় ইউনিয়নে থাকার পক্ষে ছয় জন এমপিকে বর্ণবাদী ভাষায় হুমকি দিয়ে ইমেইল পাঠানোর কথা স্বীকার করেছেন ইউকিপ সমর্থক একজন ব্রিটিশ পেনশনার।
ইমেইলে একজন এমপিকে প্রয়াত লেবার এমপি জৌ কক্সের পরিনতির কথা স্মরণ রাখার জন্যেও সতর্ক করে সে। অন্যদিকে লেবার এমপি ডেভিড লামি ব্রিটেনে কালোদের রাজত্ব কায়েম করতে চান বলে তাকে হুমকি দেওয়া হয়।

৭২ বছর বয়সী ডেভিড হল নামের বর্নবাদী এই ইউকিপ সমর্থক গত ডিসেম্বরে পার্লামেন্টে ব্রেক্সিট বিল নিয়ে বিতর্ক শুরু আগে টোরি এমপি নিকি মর্গান, ডমিনিক গ্রেইভ, এনা স্যুবরী, হেইদি এলান এবং লেবার এমপি ডেভিড ল্যামি ও এলিনর স্মীথকে বিভিন্ন ধরনের হুমকি দিয়ে ইমেইল পাঠান।

ইমেইলে তিনি ব্রেক্সিটের বিরোধীতাকে পিঠে ছুরি মেরে বিশ্বাসঘাতকা বলে উল্লেখ করে এসব এমপিদের ঝুলানো বা ফাঁসি হওয়া উচিত বলেও মন্তব্য করেন।

সোমবার ওয়েলসের ওয়েস্ট মিড আদালতে ৬টি অভিযোগে ডেভিড হলের সাজা হয়। আদালত ডেভিডের ৯ সপ্তাহের সাসপেনডেড জেলের পাশাপাশি ২৫দিন রিহ্যাবে কাটানোর নির্দেশ দেন। এছাড়া তাকে ৭শ ৩৫ পাউন্ড কোর্টের ব্যয় পরিশোদের নির্দেশ দেওয়া হয়।

Ukip-supporting admits sending racist and threatening emails to six MPs
A UKIP-supporting pensioner sent a racist email to an MP warning him to “remember what happened to Jo Cox”.
David Hall, 72, accused Labour MP David Lammy of wanting to gain black supremacy in the UK.
He told the politician: “I would like to give you a friendly warning. Remember what happened to Jo Cox.
Tragic Labour MP Jo was murdered in her Batley and Spen constituency by Thomas Mair in June 2016.
Hall also sent emails to Tories Dominic Grieve, Anna Soubry, Nicky Morgan and Heidi Allen and Labour’s Eleanor Smith.
The retired engineer admitted six counts of sending grossly offensive, indecent or obscene messages via a public communication network.
He sent the majority of the emails in the wake of a Brexit debate in Parliament last December. Some featured the image of a noose.
Hall told four MPs they deserved to be “hung” for their “back stabbing treachery” in opposing Brexit.
Magistrates in Walsall, West Mids, heard he also praised Enoch Powell’s infamous ‘River of Blood’ speech.
They sentenced Hall to a nine-week suspended jail term, ordered him to complete 25 days rehab and pay £735 court costs.
