ব্রিটবাংলা ডেস্ক : লন্ডনে ছুরিকাঘাতে এক কারা রক্ষির মৃত্যু হয়েছে। পুলিশ জানিয়েছে, বুধবার বিকেলে ওয়েস্ট লন্ডনের শেফার্ড বুশে অবস্থিত ওয়ার্মউড স্ক্রাব কারাগারের ভেতরে কারা বন্দির হামলার পর কারা রক্ষির মৃত্যু হয়।
স্কাই নিউজের রিপোর্টে বলা হয়েছে, একটি সেলের ভেতরে উপর্যপুরি ছুরিকাঘাতে তার মৃত্যু হয়। পুলিশ এবং এম্বুলেন্স এসে ঘটনাস্থলেই তাকে মৃত ঘোষণা করে।
অন্যদিকে স্কটল্যান্ড ইয়ার্ড জানিয়েছে, বুধবার বিকেল ৩টা ১৯ মিনিটের দিকে ওয়ার্মউড স্ক্রাব প্রিজন থেকে এক জন পুরুষ ছুরিকাহত হয়েছেন বলে পুলিশ ডাকা হয়। ঘটনাস্থলে গিয়ে পুলিশ তাকে মৃত ঘোষনা করে।
মৃত্যুবরনকারী ব্যক্তির পরিবারকে অবহিত করা হয়েছে বলে পুলিশ জানিয়েছে। তবে এই ঘটনায় এখনো কাউকে গ্রেফতার করা হয়নি। ঘটনার তদন্ত অব্যাহত আছে।

A prisoner has been stabbed to death at HMP Wormwood Scrubs in west London, Scotland Yard said.
Police and paramedics were called to the prison in Shepherd’s Bush after the inmate was attacked on Wednesday afternoon.
Sky News reports that the he was found with multiple stab wounds in another prisoner’s cell.
He died at the scene.
A spokesman for Scotland Yard said: “Police were called at 3.19pm on Wednesday January 31 to reports of a male with stab injuries at HMP Wormwood Scrubs.
“A male was later pronounced dead at the scene.
“Efforts are ongoing to inform the next of kin. We await formal identification.
“A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.
“No arrests have been made. Enquiries are ongoing.”
