লন্ডনে ১২ ঘন্টার ভেতরে ছুরিকাঘাতে দুজন নিহত : ১ জন গুলিবিদ্ধ : Two dead and boy, 14, fighting for life in 12 hours of violence across London

ব্রিটবাংলা রিপোর্ট : লন্ডনে সোমবার সকাল ১১ টা থেকে রাত ১১ টার ভেতরে ৩টি ছুরিকাঘাতের ঘটনায়  দুজন নিহত হয়েছে। গুলিবিদ্ধ হয়ে হাসপাতালের জীবন-মৃত্যুর সঙ্গে লড়াই করছে আরেক কিশোর।

মেট পুলিশ জানিয়েছে, সোমবার বিকেল ৩টার দিকে নিউহ্যামের ই সেভেন এলাকার মোরওয়াকের প্লেগ্রাউন্ডের কাছে ওপেন ফায়ারে ১৪ ও ১৭ বছরের দুই কিশোর গুলিবিদ্ধ হয়েছে। এর মধ্যে ১৪ বছর বয়সী কিশোরের অবস্থা সংকটাপন্ন বলে পুলিশ জানিয়েছে। এই ঘটনায় পুলিশ কাউকে গ্রেফতার করতে পারেনি। তদন্ত অব্যাহত আছে।

এর আগে কেমডেনে ২০ বছর বয়সী এক তরুন ছুরিকাঘাতে নিহত হয়। মেট পুলিশ জানিয়েছে, সোমবার সকাল ১১টা ৪৫ মিনিটের কেমডেনের হ্যাম্পস্টেড রোডে এই ছুরিকাঘাতের ঘটনা ঘটে। পুলিশ এবং এম্বুলেন্স সার্ভিস ঘটনাস্থলেই তাকে মৃত ঘোষণা করে। এই ঘটনার সঙ্গে সংশ্লিস্ট সন্দেহে পুলিশ ১৭ বছর বয়সী এক কিশোরকে গ্রেফতার করেছে। গ্রেফতারকৃত কিশোরটিও ছুরিকাহত ছিল বলে স্কটল্যান্ড ইয়ার্ড জানিয়েছে। তবে তার অবস্থা গুরুতর নয়। পুলিশ ঘটনার তদন্ত অব্যাহত রেখেছে। এই ঘটনায় এক সাইকেল আরোহিকে খুঁজছে পুলিশ।

এদিকে সোমবার বিকেল সাড়ে ৩টার দিকে হ্যান্সলোতে অপর ছুরিকাঘাতের ঘটনায় ২৯ বছর বয়সী এক ব্যক্তি নিহত হন। টুইকেনহ্যাম রাগবি স্টেডিয়ামের প্রায় ৫শ মিটারের ভেতরে রোসবেরি স্ট্রীটে দু গ্রুপের সংঘর্ষে বুকে ছুরিবিদ্ধ হয়ে তার মৃত্যু হয়। পুলিশ এবং এম্বুলেন্স ঘটনাস্থলেই তাকে মৃত ঘোষনা করে। এরপর রাত প্রায় ১১টার দিকে সাউথলে অপর ছুরিকাঘাতের ঘটনায় ৩ যুবক আহত হয়। তাদের সবার বয়স ২০ বছরের ভেতরে বলে পুলিশ জানিয়েছে।

A boy aged 14 was fighting for life in hospital today after he was shot in the head during 12 hours of terrifying violence across London.

In separate incidents two men were stabbed to death in street attacks in Camden and Hounslow while three others suffered knife wounds in a clash in Southall.

Police in Newham are investigating a double shooting.

Officers were called at 15:10hrs to Moore Walk, E7 to reports that two people had been shot.

Officers attended and found two teenage boys – aged 14 (victim 1) and 17 (victim 2) – with gunshot injuries.

London Ambulance Service attended the scene.

They were taken to an east London hospital.

Victim 1 – His injuries are being treated as life threatening.

Victim 2 – His injuries are not life threatening but are believed to be life changing.

No arrests at this time. Enquires continue.

Appeal to trace cyclist following fatal stabbing in Camden:

Detectives investigating the fatal stabbing of a man in Camden are appealing for a potential witness to come forward.

The man police wish to hear from was riding a pedal cycle through Harrington Street shortly after the incident and assisted an officer who was arresting a suspect.

He is not being treated as a suspect and is asked to call the Homicide and Major Crime Command (HMCC) to assist them with their investigation.

Police were called to Granby Terrace junction with Hampstead Road, Camden at 1145hrs on Monday, 4 September to reports of a stabbing.

Officers attended, along with the London Ambulance Service and found a 20-year-old man suffering from stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post mortem examination will be held in due course. Formal identification awaits.

His next of kin have been informed.

A 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of murder is now in custody at a north London police station.

A crime scene remains in place.

Murder investigation launched in Hounslow:

A murder investigation has been launched after a man was found with stab injuries in Hounslow.

Police were called on Monday, 4 September at around 15:36 hours to reports of a fight taking place between two groups in Rosebery Road, Hounslow.

When officers arrived, the groups had dispersed but officers found a 29-year-old man suffering from a stab wound.

The London Ambulance Service and the London Air Ambulance attended. The victim was treated at the scene by paramedics, however they were unable to save him and he was pronounced dead at the scene 16:18hrs.

His next of kin have been informed. Formal identification awaits.

A post-mortem will be held in due course.

There are currently no arrests. Enquiries continue.

The Homicide and Major Crime Command (HMCC) are investigating led by Detective Chief Inspector Sam Price.
