ব্রিটবাংলা রিপোর্ট : ইস্ট লন্ডনের বেথনালগ্রীনের রোমান রোডের এসিড নিক্ষেপের ঘটনার সঙ্গে সংশ্লিষ্ট সন্দেহে ২৩ বছর বয়সী এক ব্যক্তিকে গ্রেফতার করেছে পুলিশ। তাকে ইস্ট লন্ডনের একটি পুলিশ স্টেশনে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করা হচ্ছে। গত মঙ্গলবার বিকেল ৭টার দিকে টাওয়ার হ্যামলেটসের রোমান রোডে দুই বাঙালী তরুনের উপর এসিড নিক্ষেপ করা হয়। এর মধ্যে ২৪ বছর বয়সী শাকওয়াত নামে এক তরুন বর্তমানে চ্যাম্সফোর্ড বার্ন ইউনিটে চিকিৎসা নিচ্ছেন।

A man has been arrested following an ‘acid attack’ in Bethnal Green.
The 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent on Thursday, 27 July.
He remains in custody at an east London police station.
On Tuesday, 25 July at 19:00hrs, officers were flagged down in Roman Road, E2 after two men – aged 23 and 24 – were attacked with a noxious substance.
The London Ambulance Service attended the scene and both men were taken to an east London hospital.
Whilst their condition is not being treated as life-threatening it is being treated as life changing.
The incident was initially dealt with by officers from Tower Hamlets but is now being investigated by detectives from the Trident Area and Crime Command.
