Britbangla Sport Desk:Nobel Rahaman took no prisoners as the NEO CC star bludgeoned his way to 81 as his team clocked up a massive victory over Kings CC in National Cricket league.
Alongside Ashfaqur Rahaman Nobel (81), Aminul Shihan (32), Tanin (22) added excellent knocks as the Essex club racked up 219/9 from 40 overs at Aythorpe Roding Ground.
Chasing 219 Kings got a flying start by their openers but skipper Ayaz’s steady bowling (3wkts) dismantled their middle order while Bappy, Din, Tanin, Riadh all took a wicket each.
“It’s a proud moment for me,” said man of the match Nobel. “The weather was a real test but we came together really well. I’m only as good as my team mates and I dedicate this to all of them.”
Captain Ayaz Karim added, “Despite low score to defend, we pulled off a huge win. This will send a message through to the rest of the league – that we mean business and are hungry for success. Well done to Nobel and Din for their fantastic support with bat and Ball.”
