ব্রিটবাংলা রিপোর্ট : লন্ডনে ২৪ ঘন্টার ভেতরে আবারে ৩টি তাজা প্রাণ কেড়ে নিয়েছে ধারালো ছুরি। রোববার দিবাগত রাত প্রায় ২টা থেকে শুরু করে সোমবার রাত প্রায় ৮টার ভেতরে ইস্ট লন্ডনের বিভিন্ন এলাকায় এসব ছুরিকাঘাতের ঘটনা ঘটে।
ইস্ট লন্ডনের কেনিংটাউনের রেভেনসক্রফট ক্লোজের একটি বাড়িতে ২৩ বছর বয়সী এক যুবক ছুরিকাঘাতে নিহত হয়েছেন। সোমবার সকাল ১১টা ৪০ মিনিটের দিকে পুলিশ গিয়ে তাঁর মৃতদেহ উদ্ধার করে। ইতালিয়ান অরিজিন এই যুবকের হত্যার রহস্য উদঘাটনে তদন্ত করছে পুলিশ। নিহতের শরীরে মারাত্মকভাবে ছুরিকাঘাতের চিহ্ন রয়েছে বলে জানিয়েছেন তদন্তকারী কর্মকর্তা। এই হত্যাকান্ডের সঙ্গে সংশ্লিষ্ট সন্দেহে কাউকে গ্রেফতার করা হয়নি।

এর আগে রোববার দিবাগত রাত প্রায় ২টার দিকে ২৯ বছর বয়সী এক পুরুষ ইজলিংটনের ব্যাক্সটার রোডের একটি ফ্ল্যাটে ছুরিকাঘাতে নিহত হন। একই সময় ২২ বছর বয়সী এক মহিলাকে আহত অবস্থায় উদ্ধার করে পুলিশ। তাকে হত্যা চেষ্টার সঙ্গে সংশ্লিষ্ট সন্দেহে গ্রেফতার করা হয়েছে। এছাড়া সোমবার রাত আনুমানিক ৮টার দিকে ইস্টহ্যামে আরেকটি ছুরিকাঘাতের ঘটনায় এক পুরুষ নিহত হন।

A young man has died after being repeatedly stabbed in London’s third fatal knife attack in just 24 hours.
The Met Police’s murder squad has launched an investigation after Italian-born Pietro Sanna was found collapsed at a house in Canning Town on Monday.
The 23-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene in Ravenscroft Close after being discovered at 11.40am.
No one has yet been arrested in connection with his death and a post-mortem investigation is due to take place.
DCI Gary Holmes, who is leading the investigation, said: “This was a brutal and vicious attack on a young man in his home.
“We are keeping an open mind as to the motive of this attack. At this early stage of the investigation, I would appeal for all witnesses and those with information concerning this fatal attack to contact the incident room as soon as possible.”
It comes as police said they are probing two other deaths across the capital in the space of 24 hours.
At around 2am on Monday a 29-year-old man was stabbed to death in a flat in Baxter Road in Islington. A woman, 22, was also injured and has since been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Later that evening, at around 8pm, a man was stabbed following an apparent row at a shop in East Ham, before collapsing outside a school in White Horse Road.
