ব্রিটবাংলা ডেস্ক : ইস্ট লন্ডনের ইলফোর্ডে গত বুধবার রাত ১০টার দিকে ২০ বছর বয়সী এক ব্যক্তির উপর এসিড নিক্ষেপ করা হয়েছে। হামলার শিকার ব্যক্তিকে ইস্ট লন্ডনের একটি হাসপাতালে চিকিতসা দেওয়া হচ্ছে। তার অবস্থার গুরুতর বলে জানিয়েছে পুলিশ। তার উপর এমুনিয়া জাতীয় এসিড নিক্ষেপ করা হয়েছে বলে ধারণা করা হচ্ছে।
এদিকে এই ঘটনার সঙ্গে সংশ্লিষ্ট সন্দেহে ২০ বছর বয়সী উইলিয়াম ডিও এবং ২৯ বছর বয়সী গাভিন ওকোউ ব্রেউইস নামে ছবির দুই ব্যক্তিকে খুঁজছে পুলিশ। পুলিশ সন্দেহভাজন দুই ব্যক্তির ছবি প্রকাশ করলেও ইলফোর্ডের কোথায় এসিড হামলার ঘটনা ঘটেছে সে বিষয়ে বিশেষ কিছুই প্রকাশ করেনি।
ছবির সন্দেহভাজন দুই ব্যক্তিকে দেখা পেলে, তাদের সঙ্গে কোনো ঝামেলায় না গিয়ে সঙ্গে সঙ্গে পুলিশে খবর দেওয়ার জন্যে আহ্বান জানানো হয়েছে। নীচে পুলিশের টেলিফোন এবং ইমেইল দেওয়া আছে।
Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace two men in connection with an incident in which a male had a noxious substance thrown at him around 22:00hrs Wednesday, 13 June in Ilford.
The male, aged in his 20s, was taken to an east London hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
The substance is believed to have been ammonia.
Police would like to speak to William Deo, 20, and Gavin Okwu-Brewis, 29 in connection with this offence.
They should not be approached by members of the public; anyone with information about their location is asked to call police on 999 quoting reference 8771/13 June.
