ব্রিটবাংলা রিপোর্ট : ব্রিটেনের মূলধারা এবং কমিউনিটি সংবাদ মাধ্যম ও বিনোদন জগতের সঙ্গে সংশ্লিস্টদের মেধার মূল্যায়নে দ্বিতীয়বারের মতো প্রদান করা হল ইস্টউড এওয়ার্ডস। এতে মিউজিক, ড্রামা, মডেলিং এবং টিভি ও প্রিন্ট মিডিয়ার সাংবাদিকসহ বিভিন্ন ক্যাটাগরিতে এওয়ার্ড প্রদান করা হয়। এওয়ার্ড বিজয়ীরা মনে করেন, সুদূর প্রবাসে তাদের ক্রিয়েটিভ কাজকে আরো দ্বিগুন উতসাহিত করবে এই এওয়ার্ড। রোববার ইস্ট লন্ডনের একটি হলে বসেছিল এবারের ইস্টউড এওয়ার্ডের আসর।
এবার টিভি এডভার্টে মডেলিংয়ের জন্যে মিরাজ খান রাজ ও জেরিন স্মৃতি একাধিক ক্যাটাগরিতে এওয়ার্ড লাভ করেন। এছাড়া প্রবীন সঙ্গীত শিল্পী হিমাংশু গোস্বামি ও প্রবীন কৌতুক অভিনতা তসলিম আহমদসহ শিশু শিল্পীরাও অভিনয় ও সঙ্গীতের জন্য এওয়ার্ড পান।
সাপ্তাহিক দেশ সম্পাদক তাইসির মাহমুদ প্রিন্ট মিডিয়ার বেস্ট জার্নালিস্ট হিসেবে এওয়ার্ড লাভ করেন।
দর্পন ম্যাগাজিন-সম্পাদক রহমত আলী বিশেষ ক্যাটাগরি
আর সানরাইজ টুডের এনাম চৌধুরী ওন-লাইন ক্যাটাগরিতে এওয়ার্ড লাভ করেন।
এছাড়া মডেলিং, ড্রামা, ড্যান্স, ফ্যাশন শো মডেল, সোস্যাল মিডিয়া ইত্যাদি ক্যাটাগরিতে বিভিন্নজনকে এওয়ার্ড প্রদান করা হয়।
অনুষ্ঠানে শিল্পী প্রপা আনোয়ার মিউজিক কম্পোজিশন এবং চ্যানেল এসের সিনিয়র নিউজ প্রেজেন্টার ডাক্তার জাকি রেজোয়ানা আনোয়ার গীতিকার হিসেবে এওয়ার্ড পান।
বেস্ট টিভি রিপোর্টার ক্যাটাগরিতে এওয়ার্ড পান চ্যানেল এসের চীফ রিপোর্টার মুহাম্মদ জুবায়ের।
বেস্ট ফিমেইল নিউজ প্রেজেন্টার ক্যাটাগরিতে এওয়ার্ড লাভ করেন চ্যানেল এসের নিউজ প্রেজেন্টার নাহিদ অদিতি।
টিভি প্রেজেন্টার কুহিনুর কবিরের উপস্থাপনায় অনুষ্ঠানের শুরুতে বক্তৃতা করেন চ্যানেল এস চেয়ারম্যান আহমেদ উস সামাদ চৌধুরী জেপি। চ্যানেল এস ফাউন্ডার মাহি ফেরদৌস, নিউহাম কাউন্সিলের ডিপুটি স্পিকার ব্যারিস্টার নাজির আহমদসহ বিশিষ্টজন এওয়ার্ড প্রদানে অংশ নেন। এওয়ার্ড ফাউন্ডার মিনহাজ কিবরিয়াও ছিলেন উপস্থাপনায়-আর কো অডিনেটর মিনহাজ খান ও আরজুমান্দ মুন্নি ছিলেন স্টেজ সহযোগিতায়। ইস্টউড চেয়ারম্যান সিরাজ হক আগামীতে এই আয়োজন আরো সমৃদ্ধ করা হবে বলে আশাবাদ ব্যক্ত করেন।

The 2nd EastWood Achievement Awards 2018
It was amazing to witness joy and hope in the eyes of the winners. The entire philosophy of creating EastWood Awards was to inspire creative minds and motivate them to push boundaries and realise their potential.
It’s been a great privilege hosting EastWood Awards for the second time at the Mayfair Venue. We have awarded over 30 people from Arts, Culture, Music and Media sector. Also acknowledged senior members of our Music and Arts community by honouring them with Special Awards.
