ব্রিটবাংলা ডেস্ক : লন্ডনে আবার একের পর এক ছুরিকাঘাতের ঘটনা ঘটছে। শনিবার রাতে নর্থ লন্ডনের হ্যারিঙ্গের টানপাইক লেন স্টেশনের পাশে ৩০ বছর বয়সী এক পুরুষ ছুরিকাঘাতে নিহতের পর রোববার রাতে পৃথক তিনটি ছুরিকাঘাতের ঘটনায় তিনজন আহত হয়েছেন।
রোববার রাত আনুমানিক ৮টা ১১ মিনিটের দিকে হ্যারোতে ১৭ বছরের এক কিশোর ছুরিকাহত হয়। এছাড়া ওয়েস্ট লন্ডনের ব্রিক্সটনের নর্থল্টে এবং সাউথ লন্ডনের সাউথলে অপর দুটি পৃথক ঘটনায় আরো দুজন আহত হন। তাদের দুজনের বয়সই ২০ বছরের ভেতরে।
মেট পুলিশ জানিয়েছে, রাত আনুমানিক ৭টার দিকে নর্থল্টের ঘটনা ঘটে। এ ঘটনার সঙ্গে সংশ্লিস্ট সন্দেহে পুলিশ একজনকে গ্রেফতার করেছে। অন্যদিকে ৬টা ২০ মিনিটের দিকে সাউথলের ল্যাম্বেথ এলাকায় তৃতীয় ছুরিকাঘাতের ঘটনা ঘটে। প্রথম এবং তৃতীয় ঘটনার সঙ্গে সংশ্লিষ্ট সন্দেহে কাউকে গ্রেফতার করেনি পুলিশ।
উল্লেখ শনিবার রাতের নর্থ লন্ডনের হ্যারিঙ্গের ছুরিকাঘাতে নিহতের ঘটনার মধ্য দিয়ে চলতি বছর লন্ডনে নিহতের সংখ্যা ৭৪ জনে গিয়ে পৌঁছল। যদিও লন্ডন মেয়র সাদিক খান বলেছেন, নাইফ ক্রাইমসহ লন্ডনের অন্যান্য অপরাধ প্রতিরোধে করনীয় নিয়ে তিনি আজ সোমবার হোম সেক্রেটারী সাজিদ জাভিদের সঙ্গে বৈঠক করবেন।
A teenage boy has been critically wounded and two others injured in three unrelated stabbings across London.
The 17-year-old was found stabbed in Coles Crescent, Harrow, after police were alerted at 20:11 BST.
Two other men, both aged in their 20s, were injured in separate stabbings in Northolt, west London, and Brixton, south London.
Both are in a stable condition, the Metropolitan Police said.
Detectives said a male was arrested near the scene of the stabbing of the 20-year-old in Northolt.
Police said they were called just after 19:00 to reports of a stabbing in Wilsmere Drive, Northolt, and found the 20-year-old suffering stab injuries.
The person arrested, whose age is not yet known, was in custody at a west London police station, the Met added.
The third victim was found injured when police were called at about 18:20 to Southwell Road in Lambeth, south London.
No arrests have been made in either inquiry.
The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said he was due to meet Home Secretary Sajid Javid on Monday to “discuss how we address the scourge of serious violence across Britain” following a fatal stabbing in north London on Saturday.
The killing near Turnpike Lane Tube station in Haringey is the Met’s 74th murder investigation this year.
