Ansar Ahmed Ullah: Syeda Choudhury, an upcoming British Bengali fashion designer launched her own fashion label SyedaC at the Royal Regency, East London on Sunday 24 Sept.
SyedaC fashion was displayed through 10 theme based catwalks, namely Red & White, Green & Red, Black & white, Mendi, Wedding, Saree with matching Shawl & bags, Saree with matching tie and SyedaC exclusive party wear. In addition, the fashion show included catwalks, SyedaC stall, live performances by prominent British Bengali artists, food & jewellery stalls and photo booth.
The whole event was presented by Amin Raza and Iffaat Choudhury. Amongst the guests, BBCCI’s former president & senior adviser Shahagir Bakth Faruk, president of London Bangla Press Club Syed Nahas Pasha, Commercial Councillor of Bangladesh High Commission Sharifa Khan, CEO of ATN Bangla UK Hafiz Alam Bakhsh, author & community activist Dolly Islam, Syeda Rowgi Begum MBE, Dr Zaki Rezwana Anwar, editor of Weekly Desh Taysir Mahmud, Momotaz Khan, Dilara Khan, Poly Rahman, Head of programme of Channel S Farhan Masud Khan & Nadia Ali attended the event.
SyedaC photo shoots were performed by British-Bengali models and super model from Bangladesh Sadia Islam Mou. Singer Agun Khan and his wife dancer Tanna Khan also performed. SyedaC team included fashion designer Syeda Choudhury, project Manager Rafsan Choudhury, magazine graphic designer Syed Dohan Nuh, Choreographer China Choudhury, makeup artist Shahinur Ruby, hospitality Mustak Babul, SyedaC Bangladesh team manager Nazia Chowdhury, Stage manager Abdul Ahad, light & sound Suna Miah, videography Abdul Hannan, Stage Gulam Akbar Mukta, Project Co-ordinator Sirajul Basith Choudhury & admin in-charge Iffaat Choudhury.
The fashion show ended with Syeda Choudhury thanking all her sponsors, British Bengali print & electronic media, all the guests & her supporters.
